The Next frontier for Artificial Intelligence is to move Artificial Intelligence from Central Large Computers and Servers to the Smaller Edge Sensorsand machines (Edge Intelligence).
A key functional benefit of edge intelligence is providing organizations with maximum flexibility for deploying intelligence. This enables organizations to achieve an ideal data management model that can support edge- only intelligence, cloud processing, and cloud-to-edge execution. From a cloud perspective, edge data can be fed to centralized machine learning models for fine tuning. Results can be sent back to the edge devices or edge control systems to modify device performance. This combination provides maximum compute power (where available) while still taking advantage of the benefits of edge execution.

Quantum Machine Learning

Topic Abstract: The recent technological advancements led us to rely on huge volume of data, and on the mining of useful information out of it. Many challenging problems nowadays require effective machine learning techniques. Performing any machine-learning task with huge volumes of data has high computational burden. Machine learning (ML) deals with the development of algorithms that can learn from and make predictions on data. At present, one of the most important challenges in machine learning is how to deal with model training with very large data sets (the so called Big Data).
In near future, classical computing will probably not serve the purpose due to its limitation with silicon technology. As the complexity burden will increase with the size of the problem space. We need a different technology which can handle this issue to process a huge volume of data in a more faster way. Quantum computer is the answer to overcome this issue. In this talk, we will discuss the field of quantum computing & quantum machine learning, and its recent advancements in the world.
Speaker’s Bio: Arit is having 12+ years of experience in research & development and 2+ years in teaching. He is a researcher, a technical writer and a hands on research & development leader in the field of classical machine learning, quantum machine learning, quantum computing, deep learning, artificial intelligence, and data science. He has published many research papers in the field of artificial intelligence and quantum machine learning. He is also an author of 2 book chapters in quantum machine learning for international publishers like CRC publication USA and Cambridge University Press. Recently, his one of the latest research work in quantum multiclass SVM classification algorithm generalized the quantum binary SVM classification algorithm (which was developed by a team of researcher in Google and MIT USA and was sponsored by NASA USA). He is also a member of review committee at Quantum Information Processing Journal, Springer Nature. At present, he is working as an artificial intelligence architect at Whirlpool Corporation. He is an alumnus of BITS Pilani, and at present he is about to finish his PhD (in writing thesis phase) in the field of quantum machine learning from Amity University.

It can also enable faster attack detection and response, while reducing the need for human cybersecurity experts— specialists who are in critically short supply these days. AI can learn from security analysts and improve its performance over time, leading to time savings and better decisions. These “smart cyber” capabilities are urgently needed as cyber-attacks continue to grow in volume and sophistication. In the realm of cybersecurity and cyber risk, current capabilities are most mature on the robotic process automation (RPA) side of the technology spectrum. However, the more sophisticated end (cognitive and artificial intelligence) is rapidly evolving.
Bio: Prasad is a Director with the Risk Advisory practice of Deloitte. He has over 15 years of experience spread across Robotics and Cognitive Automation, SAP implementations and advisory and SAP License Compliance.
